Wikimedia Philippines officers went out to Pangasinan for an outreach project dubbed as Open Web Day. It is a partnership project between the Provincial Government led by Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr. And Wikimedia Philippines (WMPH). According to Butch Bustria, Vice President of the Wikimedia Philippines Foundation, Open Web Day aims to reactivate Pangasinan’s page on Wikipedia as it has very limited activity. It also aims to add vital information about historical events, current events, literature, images, and other substantial data about the Philippine’s third largest province – Pangasinan. Open Web Day has become very interactive wherein students, representative from the Academe and some Provincial employees participated in the activity especially by uploading latest images of the Capitol Complex, doing minor edits and uploading content.
