Work will never stop, even if you’re dead

Everyone has a piece of work to be done. Day by day. When you get a job or a project, work is constant. You work for a living. But you don’t live to work. My routine lately has been unpredictable. I sleep less and work more. My body clock has gone crazy. And feeling the physical consequences, I wish I could stop. A few years ago, during a yoga class, I have learned to control what dominates my mind. Yes, I am a worrier, got this from my mom. But when the mind says, its too much– I stop and selectively entertain thoughts in my head. Work. Its always work. Always thinking about what needs to be done uses too much energy and brings in anxiety. So my discovery led me to: 1. Let go. Releasing mind control over work or tasks that won’t do themselves even if you break your own skull is useless. Sometimes it is easier to let go than hold on. Can’t fix the aircon? Not enough funds? Let go. When you let it go, the mind can focus on looking for solutions rather than dwell on the problem. 2. Let G...

Pangasinan is not for sale! — Gov Espino

NOTE: This is a post written in Filipino language and first appeared on Istorya newspaper Governor Espino delivering his State of the Province Address “Pangasinan is not for sale!“ Isa ito sa mga pinakamalaman na sinabi ni Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr. sa kanyang State of the Province Adress( SOPA) 2015 kamakailan.

The Philippines needs a Duterte!

Davao City, the territory of the Dutertes is the 4th most livable city in the world. It is safe. It is peaceful and progressive. It is where criminals do NOT dare go. It was his mother Soledad that he learned a lot about life, the social and economic problems of the people, especially the youth, out of school youth, women, children and the disabled. In his talk with civic groups, leaders and influencers in Dagupan City, Mayor Duterte told the real story in Mindanao. He wanted Filipinos to increase their awareness on Mindanao. How all this war and conflict began, tracing it since Magellan conquered the Philippines and declared that all inhabitants in that part of the archipelago are declared colony of Spain’s King Phillip II. But the datus, the maharlikas and the Moros fiercely refused. And the rest is histo...
