DOST Secretary Mario Montejo supports Asia Digital Marketing Expo 2015




Jose Mario G. Montejo is the current secretary of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). He was appointed by President Benigno Simeon Aquino III on 1 July 2010. As inventor and engineer, he aims to solve the country’s recurring problems like flood and traffic congestion. He and his staff also plan to address the increasing number of dengue cases in the country through locally conceived and fabricated traps for attracting and eliminating dengue-carrying mosquitoes.

Montejo obtained a BS Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of the Philippines, Diliman (UP) in 1975. In 1989, Montejo received the Gold Medal Award for Creative Research from the Filipino Inventors Society.

He was among the 100 Outstanding Alumni Engineers of the Century awarded by the UP College of Engineering in 2011.

Secretary Montejo will welcome all delegates in the upcoming Asia Digital Marketing Expo 2015 happening on July 26, 2015 at SMX Aura, Taguig, Philippines and will be introduced by TAG Media and Public Relations CEO Engr. Grace Bondad Nicolas.
